Ekat 25 km melkoista hissuttelua eli alle 20 km/h. Muutoin eka 100 km oli oikein mukavaa menoa 32km/h ryhmän mukana. Jossain 110 km kohdalla kova vastatuuli ja hapottuvat reidet saivat mielen taipumaan ja hidastin vauhtia perille pääsyn varmistamiseksi. Voimat palautuivat aika hyvin viimeiselle kympille, mutta loppupätkä kaupunkialueella oli käytännössä kapeassa jonossa ajamista autojen suhahdellessa vierestä. 30 km/h keskivauhti on siinä ja siinä, saas nähdä mikä on virallinen loppuaika.

My slowest and most painful run ever. Well, last 10km was actually limping. :-)

Running felt hard until 15K, then flow until 26K and hard again until 40K. Last 2K was less fun, but it was worth it! Discussion about running, meaning of life, bad jokes and lot of bullshit in a small, smelly cabin took of course much more time than running itself. Wonderful, cheering crowd, live music, Finnish flaqs whiping everywhere, it's incredible cool and can't be expressed by words only! Also the weather was merciful this year, cloudy and around +16C. Partying after the running, tasty unhealthy food, beer, champagne, more beer, malt whisky...and no hangover! Running in Stockholm was again a great experience. Helsinki City Run. After being sick the whole April it felt really good to have a long distance run. I took target to run under 1:45 and I'm happy to see that it was realistic one. I still dream of running Stockholm Mararhon under 3:30, but I doubt that remaining 3 weeks is enough training time to find my normal pace again. However, weather was perfect, running was mostly quite easy and end result is better than expected. Wine will taste better tonight than normally. And I love wine. :-)

It was a perfect weather for ice skating. I guess I burnt the calories that I ate at cafeteria Jokamies after skating.

Karate, blue belt test - and I f*en got it! It was not easy at all, starting from kihon (basic techniques) to kata (imagenary fight) to kumite (actually blocking and kicking ass of the real opponent). I was a bit tense, but it's not really easy to relax during that can kind of exercise and under evaluation of sensei and mates. Anyway, challenge completed and time to create new targets...

    • Triathlon 5:56'51.4 Average heart rate 146 bpm, 111.2 km

My first 1/2 triathlon. 1.9 + 90 + 21.2 km. Official time 5'56'50.5. Swimming 0'43'00, Cycling 3:17'10 and running 1:56'42. Swimming was quite close to martial arts training; lot of hits and kicks both taken and given in rush to find your own passage. Cycling was otherwise easy, but I had no experience on cycling such a long distances before. I took it quite easy and was able to increase my pace with running and now I can be proud of how EPOC curve ends.
