I want to challenge myself. I love running. I love the feeling of accomplishment, the medals and the friends that you can share the experience with. Running teaches me to become more humble and compassion towards others. Cycling. Running.

Mount Rinjani Ultra 2014
Trail running 19:15'49.5 Average heart rate 119 bpm, 68.33 km
The toughest and most brutal 52 km so far. Total elevation 5500 m with cutoff time 22 hours. The 5 km to the top of Rinjani was the hardest due to the steep incline, wind and mixed loose gravel and silt sand. I took me 3 hours to reach the top. I'm 22nd in male category/ 25th overall out of 250 contestants. There are about 50 finishers.
Trail running 37:34'31.3, 194.6 km
UTMF 2014, 169km, cut off time 46 hour. Finished in 37:34, 242nd place in Men category. UTMF stats: 59.7% overall finished, 69.5% men, 55.% women. The biggest challenge for me is the cold weather at night and fatigue. Both I believe can be overcome. During the race, I stopped for massage 4 times and slept 3 times. (1) Cold weather: wear gore tex jacket where body heat can be sustained (2) Fatigue : replenish by energy gels. In this race, I forgot where I put the additional gels. In conclusion, with the above issues addressed, I could finish in stronger and in better time. See you again UTMF :)

TNF100 Hong Kong 2013
Trail running 21:35'50.4 Average heart rate 123 bpm, 97.73 km
Inaugural TNF100 Hong Kong 2013. The toughest 100km for me with thousands of stairs, hills with the elevation gain more than 6300m and the rain. My legs started to cramp around 35-40km, My second 50km was slower. With 26 hours cutoff time, so many DNF. 259/600 finished the 100km Got 107th place overall, 94th in male category.
Trail running 21:10'36.9, 99.75 km
The toughest and challenging 100km for me. Official distance 104 km, time 21:12. Got 10th place. 125/330 for the 100km category finished the race. "All runners out of Kiau valley and heading to half way point. Some runners have DNF due to fatigue and cold due to the severe storm that hit the race course after lunch time...a large number of runners were pinned down in the miki camp valley and on the hills above the valley as the rivers swelled up in a space of 15 minutes and had terrible currents and volumes of water making it impossible to safely cross the rivers. Evacuation carried out by village guides and search and rescue teams. Race course markers affected in some areas due to strong winds and the storm and markers have had to be re-added twice in the space of 8 hours.....race team are in the midst of sweeping the race course and conducting a check to ensure all runners are off the course" - Borneo TMBT Ultra Trail Marathon.
