Beer Mile Tempo Run (1.6k) The Beer Mile Challenge is on the 12th July, 2015. I'm working on maximum intensity tempo runs over the next few weeks to increase speed. This will put me in good shape for the Sydney Harbour 10k in the morning and the beer mile challenge in the afternoon. Todays afternoon run was 15 seconds faster than the morning run !! Trying for 3.30 pace

My age group record is 7.05.9 set by Greg Baxter (age 58) at the Circuit of the Americas Flotrack in 2014 (includes 4 cans of beer, 1 at the start of each lap, (that is a challenge in itself) but I believe I can beat my age world record !!

My favourite 10km road course! The 1st 5k mainly uphill, including a hard hill at 2k with a left turn up Scribbly Gums to the top turn at 2552m then back down to the main road then grudually uphill to a left turn hard hill to Ryde Rd entrance which is 300 metres past the 5k mark then a fast run back down to the finish.
