    London Landmarks Half Marathon . My first half for 17 months due to the cancellations and illness last year . I was hoping to go sub 1-50 but ended up 1h51m . Curse of the GPS struck again , the run certainly seemed longer than 13.2 and a lot of other people said the same . According to the data a ran 13.2 in 1h46m , which felt about right as I was not too far from the 1h45 pacer . Still we had fun , it was a great event , nice route ( mostly ) and fantastic support . Will try to get in next year for sure !

      My first Marathon done ! Followed the Runner's World 4:30 pace man for 18 miles but got cramp in both legs - stopped to stretch and got on the tail of the 4-45 pace man . Crowd and family were awesome . I had to dig deep in the last 4 miles. Very hot conditions - i got sunburn . Really happy with the time ( My Suunto quest recorded a shorter distance ? need to calibrate POD again) . Looks like the training paid off , I just got to work out why I got the cramp as i have never had that before. My journey to train for and complete the London Marathon 2013 has ended , and for me it is personal glory - I got myself a time close to my prediction and I have raised more than my target for the British Heart Foundation . Nothing more to say except it was one of the greatest days of my life.
