'Old computer guy who have been lifting weights since 1979 and lately have gotten more into cardio exercise too. Have started using Fivefingers more and more. Long term goal is completing an Ironman, but I need to get more fit and need to lear to swim much better first..

You've got to drop weight for the IronMan, hence get on a strong proteic diet and reduce the workload of weight training sessions. Step, Aero Tonic and other minor weight training classes might help. Most importantly, don't overtrain! ;)
