For those concerned about SMAC, I think she is busy being a wife and mother to a growing family, growing in age that is:-), at the moment. However, I'm sure we'll see her in action again.

Wow, so nice to hear something! Thanks! We miss her in here!

Does anybody knows what is wrong with Smac? Or did something happened to her!

    • MtnLivin

No, Nav, but would be great to know. She's been a dynamic part of this community for as long as I've been here on MC.

    • LoveRed

Any Word yet?? Kinda weird how she just dropped off after being so consistent. I hope nothing has happened. If anyone knows her let her know the community is a bit worried.

    Christmas Eve muddy mayhem!

    Running 0:53'00, 5.00 km.
I can't say I was enthusiastic about running in the rain and thick mud but I had made the commitment to go with friends so no backing down! The going up was incredibly hard, heart about to burst and close to being sick but the going down was a thrill as always. Coffee and mince pie to celebrate after with a great bunch of friends!

Halloween disco night wi my mates!

    Dancing 3:05'00.
I haven't danced like that since I got married. Arrgh there were witnesses too!! Hic

    Lancaster Race for Life

    Running 0:30'00, 5.00 km.
Really hot and sunny! Rosy cheeks all round. Charity race for Cancer Research. Started off slow thinking I would jog along with friends but soon got bored and took off at a pace that gave me a lovely big stitch in my side! Fantastic day with over 900 runners. A study in the British Journal of Sports Medicine followed 2,560 Finnish men for 16 years. It found that the higher the intensity of exercise, the lower the risk of getting cancer. The suggestion was that high intensity exrecise reduces your cancer risk by an average of 50%. Researchers from Kuopio and Oulu universities found that high intensity exercise particularly lowered the risk of getting and dying from lung and gastrointestinal cancer.Men with a mean (average) intensity of physical activity "over 5.2 MET had a greatly reduced risk of cancer death." To calculate MET,measure VO2 on your HR device, then divide by 3.5

Okay every New Year deserves a resolution so mine is to cook. That's right cherubs, I had not cooked a meal (except baked beans and eggs on toast) for over 3 years. So with much gusto I have bought utensils and intend to produce at least 100 dishes that I have never tried before. With that comes 12 different sporting activities also. Wish me luck
