Training for general fitness and health. Would love to get into Triathlon in the future, but haven't been swimming in a very long time. I mostly run/bike at the moment.

Thanks, but you had 500 climbmeters! My training was totally flat only a bit windy but in a group...so not that hard.

MarkWoodhall 25.7.2010

I guess thats true, I need to get out on some flat roads and see how I do, do you go much quicker being in a group?

Andrew_Robertson 28.8.2010

Yeah much quicker in a group, you can probably use up to 20-30% less energy sitting behind another cyclist keeping out of the wind.

thanx :-). But this is also my peak week. From now on I will be reducing training up till the ironman three weeks from now.

Which IM are you doing, I would love to train for one, but dont think I have the dedication right now.

IMJB 25.7.2010

The Challenge event in Copenhagen. Well, If you want to do it, you could start up with a half IM. It doesn´t require all that much training and still a will give you an idea of what to expect.

MarkWoodhall 25.7.2010

True, I could try, I think having not ever been a good swimmer is holding me back.

IMJB 31.7.2010

I couldn´t swin freestyle when I started, but it only took 3 months of good steady training before I could swim 1000 meters without problem. Also once you use a wetsuit, it makes it a lot easier. So don´t let that keep you back.
