I grew up on the western hills of the Hutt Valley in New Zealand and now I am running in the mountains of Europe. I use the Ambit 2 and 2S but have used the red arrow T6, quest and X10 in the past.     More than 4000m+ of climbing: Giro Rolle Brocon, Maghen. Long day in the saddle - a loop i had looked at for a while and it was epic. Quiet narrow roads in forest and mountain passes. Good day at the office! The climbs were all tough and on the final climb to Manghen I was searching for some lower gears and had the big weave.     Cycling 5:46'29.2 Average heart rate 123 bpm, 124.5 km.
    Riding in 3 countries! Slovenia over the steep Vrsic Pass then a fast descent before climbing over to Italy and then a third small pass before the final mountain top finish in Austria. Phew! Riding in 3 countries! start in Slovenia and a stupidly steep climb up Vrsic pass with cobble stone corners that are tough to ride on and then a descent with 26 hairpin corners (50 in total on the climb). Then down a long valley fast and flowing, good fun. a right turn towards italy and a tough but not too long climb to passo predel followed by a short descent to a nice lake. the third pass was a short one 'sella nevea' and then another long descent to the valley and finishing up a beautiful pass into Austria 'nassfeld.' Hard day (i have no idea how the grand tour riders can do that length of ride every day for 3 weeks!)     Giro di Valles Cereda Rollo

    Another epic ride to make the most of the good weather. Val di Fiemme (Italy) to Passo Valles then a long uphill valley over a forcella and on to Passo Cereda and to finish the 23km grind to the top of Passo Rollo then home. (vid is from 3 weeks prev in the same area - with snow!)

    Passo Rollo Salita - In the Val di Fiemme we have a lot of climbs that take you to 2000m altitude. This one arrives at 1984m and is a nice steady climb on the bike especially with late summer snow on the road side from the day before! - Jw

    Gara di Dolomiti Trail Park Passo Croce D'aune An old WW1 mountain road to take military equipment up but its more like a trail with a constant gradient. nice race, back to the roots mountain running with a small field of 80 runners but great fun getting the chance to meet and talk to everyone.
