    • Cycling is my favourite way of keeping fit. I´m type 1 diabetic and I bear also Bechterew's disease with me, so my back aches more less daily. I try to keep my legs on pedals and positive energy up and running so that I can stay as good shape as possible.

      • Hyvä reeni!! Sulla on ollut pitkään nyt nousujohteista tämä homma. Loistavaa! (Hih :-) Mulla on keskisyke 164 kun vähän hölökkäilen.. Ollaan me ihimiset niin erilaisia koneistoltamme. :-D )

      • Kolmeen vuoteen kovimmat tehot mitä on pystynyt tuottamaan, tosin subjektiivisella perstuntumalla mitaten kun tomahawkissa ei ole mitään wattiseurantaa tms. Mutta happoa maisteltiin huolella. Nousujohteisuutta on kestänyt viimeisen vuoden ajan, kun polven sai kuntoon. Sykkeet on tosiaan täysin yksilölliset, mutta vauhtikestävyyden ylärajoilla ja maksimillakin mentiin.

      • Hyvältä näyttää reenailu ja mukavasti olet punaisella ja keltaisella paahtanut! :-) Olen katsellut mtb-tekniikkavideoita ja todennut, että taitaa maastopyöräilyssä tulla helposti samoja sykkeitä kuin hiihdossa, kun ylämäkiä viännetään. :-D

      • Kuulostaa hyvältä! :-) Tuota nimenomaan kaipaan. Alison Dunlopin tekniikkavideoita olen katsonut pitäs päästä kokeilemaan oppeja käytännössä. Kyllä tuossa painonsäätelyssä ja käsien asennossa ylä- ja alamäissä on paljon samaa kuin ratsastuksessa. Siisti kokkeilla sitten Syötteen mäissäkin. :-) Pitää käydä kesän aikana harjottelemassa.

      • Ei tällä hetkellä, tosin Levi 24 on ollut viritteillä että kolmen muun kaveri kanssa lähdettäisiin ajamaan. Mutta se on ihan auki vielä.

      • Sulla vähän samaa ku mulla, että reeneissä tulee fiilisteltyä.:-) Välttämättä ei happeninkejä tarvi että tulis liikuttua ja nautittua siitä.

      • We have still some 20-30cm left, but it melts really fast. Last couple of days have been rainy and tomorrow should be warmer and sunny day. Spring started suddenly, last thursday night was -16°C but after that temps have been above zero deg.

      • Thanks! Did some maintenance to my road bike and had hmm...what is it called..."pinny" on...? There is diifferent xc-tyres on the wall behind me.

      • I think (fingers crossed) that we have seen the last of the snow for this winter :)

      Second day of the Syöteajo 2012. Everybody rode first 30km in their own pace, because of the hilly road profile. After that the bunch got together and day contiunued together. Sugarlevels sunked a little bit in first hour, so it was a little struggle but I managed to rise levels up after eating some energy at first pit stop. I had anymore problems during the day and afternoon. Syöteajo was quite an experience! I managed really well! Total lenght was 425km and the av speed was little over 30km/h.

      Syöteajo 2012 - first day. Longest ride ever and what a day it was! 44 cyclists started the day and everything went really well. Couple of blown tyres in the bunc but nothing serious. So relaxing when everybody can ride in big group smoothly. Last 20km was pretty hard, first you ride almost flat terrain 200km and after that you start to climb towars Pikku-Syöte. My inner mountain goat was hiding..great day! Forgot to stop the timing in last pit stop, so actual riding time was 7h17min.

      Koillismaan kierros; Tour of Koillismaa (Kuusamo-Taivalkoski-Posio-Kuusamo). I´m so proud of myself and my mates, we did it! Great feeling, legs were supergood! Of course after 4-5h ride it started to hurt a little bit, but nothing un usual though. Sugarlevels were ideal!

      Midsummer days roadcycling with couple of friends. Kuusamo-Jokijärvi-Taivalkoski-Kuusamo, went really well and managed to maintain sugarlevels ok during the whole day. Moving time was 6h.

    • Mountain biking 5:45'50.8 Average heart rate 159 bpm, 66.93 km.
      6hr MTB in Virpiniemi, Haukipudas. Moving time was about 4h 30min and average speed about 14,5kmh. Took couple of good breaks, get some carbohydrates and fixed driving position too. 1 lap was 6.4km and drove 10 laps with couple of Cyclos mates. Good day!

      Kuusamo GT 2013 - 100 miles wintercycling around Easten parts of Kuusamo. Actual ride time 8h 38min 4sec (18,85km/h). -18°C in start time 9am, but gradually temps got higher -10°C and sun shined all day o/ Sugarlevels were almost perfect, after 125km was short difficult moment, but chocolate bar helped! Very very pleased what I achieved!

      Second day, this time southern Oulu´s winter trails. Yesterdays long ride felt in my body, legs were quite good though. Great weekend! Moving time 3h27min.
