Cycling (MTB, road, indoor) is my favourite way of keeping fit. I´m type 1 diabetic and I have also Ankylosing spondylitis (Bechterew's disease). Stiff and weirdly shapen skeleton, too much sugar in my blood but I still try to keep my legs on pedals and positive energy up and running :) Santa Cruz carbon Highball 29er is my main tool. I have also Rossin Aelle steel road bike.

Thanks! Its really good looking and felt comfy (like the older steel frames are). I think I will buy a 1990 Selle Italia Flite saddle (black of course) and try to paint the seatpost black too ;)

Mountain biking 2:48'17.2 Average heart rate 167 bpm, 60.00 km.Tähtisadeajot 2014. Fast and really hilly route (gravel roads and forest trails) near Jyväskylä (Saarenmaa). Weather was perfect, and I was really happy to race after Syöte MTB in early august. First 30km went pretty ok, last 30km felt suffering :) Had to travel back to Kuusamo straight after the race, so it meant sitting in a car some 600km. Arrived to home 11pm, slept only 5h before the work...
Mountain biking 4:29'50.9 Average heart rate 165 bpm, 61.20 km.Syöte MTB 60km. This was the main goal for this mtb-season and it was quite successful ride. I took a slight risk four days before the event. I did quite hard (but short) xc-training. I knew it could be a mistake because my back could be an issue in saturdays event after hard training. I managed to excercise and stretch leg and gluteus muscles pretty good so I felt decent in the morning. After all, everything went well and I managed to push everything what I coud. The result was 14. in M40 class and total time was 14min faster than previous year. Happy!
Mountain biking 2:58'01.2 Average heart rate 169 bpm, 48.84 km.Rollo MTB 50km for MTB-enthusiasts, this was first time for this event and it was in the same week end with Finnish XCE/XCO/DH championships. Demanding route and very warm weather! Rocky up hills were difficult for me, but everything else tasted quite good and managed to push own good pace though. I was 13. in 50km start so it went pretty good o/

This was the "official" December´s 100km cycling o/ Moving time was 4h 55min. Not so easy task alone, though the conditions were really good for winter cycling, only -2° and 3ms wind.

Cycling 6:37'22.7 Average heart rate 134 bpm, 141.6 km.Cycling - hiking - cycling. Cycling 137km and hiking 4km. We had a recreational day and I and my colleagues went to Riisitunturi (Riisitunturi is one of the national parks) which is 67km from Kuusamo to north-west and is part of the Posio municipality and Lapland. I decided to go with my 29er mountainbike and all the other went by bus :) Good day, though it was pretty demanding headwind all the way back home.
Cycling 2:32'41.4 Average heart rate 165 bpm, 60.39 km.Sorasyöte 2013 - 60km gravel grinding event in Syöte. The route included 1200m vertical uphill, according to the organizer's routeinfo. This was seasons best ride for me, finished top 10 and managed to push everything I got!
Mountain biking 2:55'23.2 Average heart rate 169 bpm, 64.00 km.Tähtisadeajot 2013. Oh my...legs were in fire but sadly my mountainbikes seat clamp didnt hold the seatpost in place and therefore I have to stop four times to adjust the saddle height :(
Result was 59. place, and there was 92 competitors. Without problems maybe 30-40. place...
Cycling 6:48'08 Average heart rate 132 bpm, 203.1 km.Second day of the Syöteajo 2012. Everybody rode first 30km in their own pace, because of the hilly road profile. After that the bunch got together and day contiunued together. Sugarlevels sunked a little bit in first hour, so it was a little struggle but I managed to rise levels up after eating some energy at first pit stop. I had anymore problems during the day and afternoon. Syöteajo was quite an experience! I managed really well! Total lenght was 425km and the av speed was little over 30km/h.
Cycling 7:17'21.6 Average heart rate 145 bpm, 222.0 km.Syöteajo 2012 - first day. Longest ride ever and what a day it was! 44 cyclists started the day and everything went really well. Couple of blown tyres in the bunc but nothing serious. So relaxing when everybody can ride in big group smoothly. Last 20km was pretty hard, first you ride almost flat terrain 200km and after that you start to climb towars Pikku-Syöte. My inner mountain goat was hiding..great day! Forgot to stop the timing in last pit stop, so actual riding time was 7h17min.
Cycling 7:47'57.4 Average heart rate 143 bpm, 211.4 km.Koillismaan kierros; Tour of Koillismaa (Kuusamo-Taivalkoski-Posio-Kuusamo). I´m so proud of myself and my mates, we did it! Great feeling, legs were supergood! Of course after 4-5h ride it started to hurt a little bit, but nothing un usual though. Sugarlevels were ideal!
Cycling 7:01'02.9 Average heart rate 142 bpm, 168.0 km.Midsummer days roadcycling with couple of friends. Kuusamo-Jokijärvi-Taivalkoski-Kuusamo, went really well and managed to maintain sugarlevels ok during the whole day. Moving time was 6h.
Mountain biking 5:45'50.8 Average heart rate 159 bpm, 66.93 km.6hr MTB in Virpiniemi, Haukipudas. Moving time was about 4h 30min and average speed about 14,5kmh. Took couple of good breaks, get some carbohydrates and fixed driving position too. 1 lap was 6.4km and drove 10 laps with couple of Cyclos mates. Good day!

This time it is funny to see that "Roanne" changed his team activity rugby into triathlon while "MichalBeranek" does the HEAT program, fitness as a team. Nice guys, keep on doing your thing! Which of you has done a bungy jump, measured with your T3? And if you will, don't forget to set your interval #1 at 15 sec and interval #2 at OFF.
