I'm the kind of guy who will become whatever I need to be to realize my dreams. What separates me from most people is that I rarely see boundaries or limits. If I want to do something, I just do it. As a result, in December 2012, Pat Farmer and I will average 85 km everyday, no day off, to cover the length of Vietnam - 2800 km. The run is called "Pole to Pole Vietnam". Keep it in mind, I became a runner 1 year ago just to run the length of Vietnam.

It has taken me a year to reach this benchmark: 40k run everyday, no day off. Working toward running 2 marathons a day by the time the Vietnam Run starts later this year.

The North Face 100 Australia 2012 - 19th-20th May 2012 The only thing that kept me going was the Vietnam End-to-End Run; it was constantly in my mind. Every time my body screamed in defiance: "Stop Stop Stop doing this to me". I simply said, 'shut up, shut up' - so I kept on going until I finished. This makes it my 1st ever organized race; never run a half marathon or a marathon before. I simply went from a non runner to an ultra race in 8 months. I don't see a point in doing things halfway.
Climb Mount Wellington
Corsa 3:44'11, 40,62 km
Climb Mount Wellington in Hobart (Tasmania). It was an enjoyable with roughly 20K climb continuously. However, the run was ruined by cars, an issue that cannot be avoided when undertaking road running. Almost got hit by a car once. The people living out of town were nice. On the way down, I asked for sugar to mix in my water bottle. I got plenty and also a banana! It was a good day to run.
The Gorge in Launceston
Trail running 1:51'27.5, 19,07 km
Two laps of the Gorge in Launceston (Tasmania). With a lot of stairs and rocks. It was so much fun rock hopping down hills. I sometimes reached 17 km/h. The only way to not roll my ankle, I have learnt, when going downhills is to absolutely trust my feet being able to handle rough terrains. I have worked out a strategy that work for me: run up hill, run down hill, walk up stairs, run down stairs.
