I have been really licking (putting spit on)the electrode/pickup area of the chest strap and this has made a difference
For the first 25 minutes the Heart rate is totally wrong by 50- 60 beats and seems to be getting worse, any body got any way of fixing this or is anybody experiencing a similar problem.
Yep, Usually I stop to get the HR lower and then start again. It seems the calibration is the problem among other with HR belts.
I stopped using the Heart Rate on my Ambit 2 Sapphire because it is so inaccurate... showed ridiculously high heart rates. A shame as it's the only issue I have with an otherwise great unit.
Fatmuz, you can link the Garmin HR belt if you miss HR. It works fine with my Ambit. The only trouble is the poor connection whatever the belt brand. Spikes, loss etc... It seems that the unit need few minute to accurately report the right HR, like if it was doing his own calibration.
