Now, if ever, every Move counts!

With a death toll in the thousands, an economic cost in the billions, and the threat of nuclear meltdown imminent, the people of Japan face their greatest disaster for decades.

Run For Japan is about bringing together the global running community and showing solidarity and support through dedicating runs around the World to the people of Japan.

Make a Move and show your support to Japan! You can record your Move on Movescount and register your run at the Run for Japan website.

  • Dear all,

there were 56 members in this group by March 31st, and I just paid 56 pounds (64 euros) to the Japan disaster fund. Amer Sports will match my contribution, meaning that together that will be 128 euros. It's still not much money considering the devastation but it's definitely something! The money will be directed to the Japanese Red Cross, which will make sure it'll reach those who need it most.

My thoughts go out to all the people in Japan who have lost their homes or loved ones and hope that things will get better soon.

Thank you all for being a part of the group! Together we can make a difference!

    Aku

Hello to all. What GPS (Position Format) setting are you using?

I currently have my watch set to UTM but my altitude on my moves is very inaccurate. I'm sometimes running on a track and field loop and I'm getting altitude differences of over 40 feet. (I am currently in Okinawa, Japan)
