hi - i've never done the grossglockner before. yesterday i ran 1005 meters in altitude (@6.7km uphill) in 1:34hours. average heartrate up - 162bpm. (my age 37 male) provided i stick to my training do you see a chance i can do the grossglockner? thanks for reading markus

JonathanWyatt 16.6.2011

Hi Markus, Sorry about my slow reply! that is a steep run you did. I think the important thing is to be able to run the distance so I think you can do the Grossglockner run for sure based on your training so far.I think you should also try at least one run of more than 15 - 18km so that you know you can do the distance. it doesnt have to be a big hill but some up and down hills. i think at the Grossglockner you can arrive in about 2.5hrs. Let me know how you go! good luck - Jonathan
