Paavo Nurmi Marathon and, although it was only a half for me and my first DNF, I could still run!! 🙌😍👏🙈🤭🥰 Really proud and surprised I could run this fast after these only 4 runs we've done together w/ Touko @6min/km this summer - and they all have felt like hell and pain. Somehow my legs just knew what to do, I didn't even have any idea how fast I was going, just approximately overlooked my HR. And the best thing is that I didn't have to stress or prepare for this in any way but did my normal 1,5h tough spinning the day before, plus everything else each day! :D

The third run of the summer w/ Touko! My legs were painfully (in a kind of a good way) stiff to start with as this whole thing has just been so new to them again. But the weather was beautiful and we had an adventure to do!

Our first run of the whole summer w/ Touko! <3 Not painless yet but not too bad either and it didn't get any worse. Plus the MRI didn't reveal any real problems so I decided I could not do too much harm any more. No idea about the real HR as Trainer was even more trustworthy than ever as the graph shows.....

Return trip from Koli in a nice North wind of 6m/s - not totally tailwind anymore as it had been directly against me from north east the previous day. The battery ran out way before Outokumpu and it seems it dropped the gps but kept measuring the duration.

This is how you can combine long run and a short 10k race all in the same move! 👌 I packed my backpack and run from home to the Helsinki10 start, then followed the 45 min pacemakers until almost the end but then run past them to the finish and then straight back home. After a quick shower out walking w/ Touko again and meetinga friend at the town, where Touko opened his beach season.. 😎 And by the way, I ended up being 17th of women on this long run.. km mm:ss pace of all / of women split 5 km 22:35 4:31 min/km 125/20 22:35 10 km 44:41 4:29 min/km 119/17 22:06

Nuuksio Classic Trail Marathon http://nuuksioclassic.com/, my very first trail running marathon, and it all ended so badly... :( Luckily, I didn't have any expectations on goals, but just had the loveliest time running in the beautiful forests of Nuuksio with an experienced trail runner from Tampere (thank you again, if you ever read this!) - when I went and tripped down to a bunch of ugly roots. And not just a little. I got an ambulance ride back to the area. But if we had finished together (which we would have otherwise) my position would've been 11th of women (4:45). Maybe next year, or maybe never. I still didn't loose my heart totally to trail running. :)

My personal best. On a gray, chilly day. On a boring 10 km x 4 route of Vantaan Maraton - Tikkurila. It was great to share the event with all the wonderful people there, but somehow the actual PB doesn't make me happy. It wasn't a specifically nice run, although not a tough one for me. It just didn't give me the kicks. Anyhow, it's one of my Greatests on some scale, I guess.

Me and Berlin - we just aren't compatible in running.. But since this was my only marathon in 2013, it must be one of the greatest. Not only because I could run only 4 months before it (moreover, with pain), but I also managed to finish only 19 minutes later than my PB. It can't be that bad, even though the feeling certainly was.

I just remember thinking how lovely it is to run long distances compared to the 1/2 marathons where you really have to run fast. Because of too much crowd I had no choice but to stroll along steadily with the others. The roads were really narrow and with dangerous obstacles here and there. Still I couldn't have enjoyed more as a the weather was perfect and the crowd cheered as we were heroes! :) Perfect!
